Mildred L. Caupert

	Mildred L. Caupert, 86, of Pinckneyville, died Tuesday, March 13, 2001 at 3:45 p.m. in the Pinckneyville Community Hospital.
	Mildred was born on September 4, 1914 in Welge, Ill., the daughter of Adolph P. and Carolina (Wolter) Sasse.  She married Rudolph C. Caupert on August 17, 1957 at the St. Johns Lutheran Church in Chester and he preceded her in death on October 6, 1983.  Mildred worked at the International Shoe Factory in Chester.  She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Conant, the Lutheran Womens Missionary League and the Republican Womens Committee.  She also assisted her husband as the Republican Committee Chairman for Perry County.
	Survivors include a sister, Selma Ebers of Chester; a nephew, James Sasse of Collinsville; a niece, Barbara Welge and husband Mike of Chester and three great-nephews, Matthew, Joshua and Jason Welge.  She was preceded in death by her husband and two brothers, Raymond Sasse and Adolph Sasse.
 	Funeral services were held on Friday, March 16 at 10 a.m. in the Trinity Lutheran Church in Conant with Rev. Russ Helbig officiating.  Interment was in Sunset Memorial Park in DuQuoin.
	Visitation was held at the Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home in Pinckneyville on Thursday, March 15 from 5 to 8 p.m. and on Friday from 8 to 8:30 a.m. then at the church from 9 a.m. until services.
